#1 Hyundai Way: Hyundai Speed, The Third Edition

When first published Hyundai Way: Hyundai Speed examined the Culture of Hyundai from its founding in the late 1950s to 2014. I then again in 2019 stepped back and revisited.

More recently in 2023, amid the further shift in the auto industry from vehicle ownership, electrification, and expanded “mobile experiences,” car companies have found themselves at a crossroads. This includes technology-driven trends that have the potential to fundamentally change the relationship between the consumer and the automobile. Plus, we’re seeing new business models based on shared mobility and data connectivity services. [i]

Noting the trend, beginning in late 2018 Hyundai embarked on an overhaul and transition to a Smart Mobility Solutions Provider from a conventional automobile manufacturer.

To facilitate this transformation, we are also seeing a profound philosophical change in the corporate culture.

Building on the past, this revised edition, too, looks at the transition to Smart Mobility and the corresponding workplace overhaul to become an agile global player.

#2 Korea 101: The Book

For over 20+ years, I have presented Korea 101 programs to more than 10,000 participants across the globe. Korea 101: The Book shares insights and experiences with my ‘boots on the ground’ in the classroom, boardroom, and, more recently, remotely.”

Topics include an in-depth look at Korea with milestones, interviews, case studies, articles, and writing — all based on my research, consultancy experiences, and observations. This practice continues today.

Both books, along with my other publications are available at
