Southerton has a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Colorado with post-grad Korean studies at UC San Diego, USC, and UCLA.

Southerton is currently enrolled in the University of Southern California (USC) Gould School of Law with an emphasis in Technology. IP, IR, and Government Affairs.
